Hawapad’s standardized services eliminate the guesswork in purchasing

Hawapad industrial dust collectors are not merely dust collection systems; they represent significant investments. If not properly functioning, they can incur costly operational expenses. Our advanced laboratory ensures that all your data is measured beforehand, allowing for a customized, effective, and intelligent investment without any guesswork.

We analyze your performance requirements and utilize this information to create the optimal collection system tailored to your specific needs.

Based on operational conditions and real-world data concerning particle emissions, dust type and size, pressure drop, compressed air consumption, and energy consumption, Hawapad provides a wise, long-term decision to reduce maintenance and consumable costs.

Dust testing methods:

Particle size analysis:

We utilize a dual laser particle analyzer to determine the particle size distribution across a broad spectrum. By understanding the size and quantity of particles, we can select the most suitable filter, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and filter lifespan.

For instance, the dust emitted from a plasma cutter comprises submicron carbon particles intermingled with significantly larger steel particles. Scientific analysis is the only means to identify these fine carbon dust particles, enabling you to select the appropriate equipment and optimal filter type.

Abrasion resistance:

Understanding the abrasion rate of dust aids in the optimal design of dust collector components. Abrasion testing can be used to determine the appropriate design of inlets, baffles, outlets, and ductwork based on the abrasiveness of the particles.

For instance, to collect dust from a cast iron grinding process, which produces highly abrasive dust, collectors should be designed with low inlet velocities. If the inlet velocity is too high, the abrasive dust will cause premature wear of the filters, increasing maintenance costs.

Moisture test

Moisture testing is another critical aspect of dust analysis as excessive moisture can shorten filter lifespan. If dealing with damp dust, early detection is crucial for selecting the appropriate filter type. Hygrometers are used to detect moisture content in dust. If necessary, samples are dried to determine the moisture percentage. To design equipment such as hopper angles and transfer speeds, we also utilize results from other tests.

In-process measurements

Parameters such as differential pressure, absolute emission, suction volume, suction velocity and pressure, and ductwork suction loss are measured using in-service instrumentation. Based on the acquired data, we provide customized designs and select filter media tailored to specific requirements.

For instance, in absolute dust emission testing, particulate matter is measured in milligrams per cubic meter to determine filter type and filter-to-motor ratio, thereby enhancing system efficiency and filter lifespan.

Energy efficiency

Reduced energy consumption translates into lower overall energy costs. To initiate the pulse jet filter cleaning system, a centrifugal fan draws air through the system, and a variable frequency drive maintains a constant airflow and static pressure. While all of these components require energy, the efficiency of pulse cleaning and lower average pressure drop across the filters reduce the fan’s energy demand, extend filter life, and decrease overall energy consumption in kilowatt-hours.

Comprehensive technical and engineering support for combustible dust

The risk of combustible dust explosions is a significant hazard in many manufacturing and processing facilities. If your dust collection system is not properly designed for your specific operation, it can become a primary ignition source.

Your equipment and personnel may be at risk. Numerous substances, including food products, metals, paper, pulp, plastics, textiles, biomass, wood, rubber, paints, and pharmaceuticals, can form combustible dusts. At HovaPad, we significantly mitigate explosion risks through the use of tailored equipment such as safety monitoring filters, explosion vents, and explosion isolation barriers.

Our services extend far beyond simply fulfilling orders for dust collection systems, cartridge filters, and explosion protection products. At HovaPad, we begin by conducting on-site assessments to evaluate the specific dust and particulate matter generated by your production processes. We meticulously assess your unique needs and recommend the most effective and cost-efficient equipment to address your dust-related challenges.
